Haven recycle, a supported business based in Hillington recently received a visit from Derek Mackay cabinet secretary for finance and the constitution.

This opportunity allowed the team at Haven to show the cabinet secretary the important work they do as a supported business to assist disabled people through the creation of training and employment opportunities. It was also an opportunity to show the high quality service that Haven offer.

Jamie Lawson regional operating officer and JulieAnne Levett business development manager with Haven had the pleasure of providing Mr MacKay a tour of the factory.

The Scottish Government see’s supported businesses as having a valuable role, both as a stepping stone for disabled and disadvantaged people into mainstream employment and for those who are unable to progress onto the open labour market.
